Congressional Candidate Phil Liberatore Calls, Blogs, Vlogs, Writes, Tweets, and Facebooks to Stay in Touch with Voters
Congressional candidate Phil LIberatore uses many forms of communication to connect with voters on the issues they care about.
Whittier, CA (PRWEB) May 26, 2010 — Congressional Candidate Phil Liberatore has long pledged to be a different kind of Congressman than the one he seeks to replace in his race for the GOP nomination in California’s 42nd district. He has said that he intends to fly coach to Washington DC and has promises to do a better job than six-term incumbent Gary Miller at communicating with voters in his district. In his race to replace Miller, Liberatore is giving voters a sense of how he would stay in touch with them if they send him to Washington.
Launching a campaign called “Ask Phil,” Liberatore has given out his cell phone number and invited potential constituents to contact him with questions related to the campaign and issues that are on their mind. Voters in the 42nd district may reach Phil at: (714) 795-1601.
Liberatore also blogs for two popular websites, BigGovernment.com and PoliticalMavens.com, sends regular udpates from his Twitter account, communicates to supporters through Facebook and posts regular video updates to his YouTube site. He’s also publishing a book Inside The IRS, in June. Taken together, the various communication methods are in stark contrast to Miller who finally got around to creating a website in early May with just a month to go in the campaign.
“What can I say, I’m Italian!” laughed Liberatore when asked about the various tools his campaign has been using to keep in touch with voters. “I love people and I love to tell them about this campaign and what I hope to do for them. Our campaign is trying to use every method of communication that modern technology offers us. But the goal remains the same: To listen to voters and communicate with them my ideas and how I plan to help make their lives better by lifting the burden of taxes off of their families.”
A trusted businessman, and resident of the 42nd District for over 26 years, Liberatore has a passion for helping people. He is running against six-term incumbent Republican congressman Gary Miller in a district which stretches from Whittier in Los Angeles County to Mission Viejo in Orange County and includes parts of San Bernardino County, is one of the most conservative districts in California with a track record of electing conservative candidates.
Liberatore has his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Southern California.

Congressional Candidate Phil Liberatore Responds to Gary Miller ‘Tax Fraud’ Signs; Links Miller to Defeated Utah Senator Bennett; Schedules Press Conference Outside Miller’s District Office
WHITTIER, Calif., May 10 /PRNewswire/ — Congressional Candidate Phil Liberatore is responding to signs produced by the campaign of incumbent Republican Congressman Gary Miller and placed around California’s 42nd district. The signs read “Don’t Elect Tax Fraud Phil Liberatore” and were paid for by the Gary Miller for Congress Committee.

“This is a great day for our campaign,” declared Liberatore. “I am not surprised to be attacked by Gary in this way. It means that our campaign is working and he is running scared. These allegations are completely false and defamatory and are the worst kind of mudslinging that the voters detest. But I’m not going go get into the mud with him. He doesn’t want to talk about the issues but I will: it’s about him going to Washington and voting for the TARP bailout bill with Barney Frank and the liberals.”
Liberatore is scheduled to hold a press conference outside Miller’s Brea office tomorrow, Tuesday May 11th at 12:30pm to address the issues.
Liberatore is also linking Miller to incumbent Republican Senator Robert Bennett who lost his re-election attempt in Utah. Liberatore’s message to Miller: “You’re next!”
Bennett a respected conservative, veteran Senator and son of a U.S. Senator was trounced by two upstarts, Mike Lee and Tim Bridgewater who will vie for the GOP nomination and Liberatore sees the same dynamic in his race with six-term Republican cong Gary Miller in California. Although both Miller and Bennett have in the past received high ratings from conservative groups, their voting for the TARP bailout bill and other issues has become political poison and voters in both Utah and California’s conservative 42nd district are poised to punish any politicians who voted for it.
“Senator Bennett served his country well, but he betrayed his constituents when he voted to bail out large corporations,” responded Liberatore. “The voters in my district don’t get bailed out by the federal government when they fail, and they’re angry that large financial institutions are treated differently. Like Senator Bennett in Utah, Gary Miller has lost his way. It’s time he’s replaced with a true conservative.”
The 42nd district, which stretches from Whittier in Los Angeles County to Mission Viejo in Orange County and includes parts of San Bernardino County, is one of the most conservative districts in California with a track record of electing conservative candidates. Liberatore has his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California.
“This is not just an anti-incumbent year,” noted Liberatore. “It’s a year in which voters are targeting their anger toward incumbents who vote with the Obama administration far too often as Gary and Senator Bennett have. I’ll go to Washington and vote like a true conservative which is what the voters in this district deserve from a leader.”

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio “Sticks It” to California
Sheriff Joe Arpaio is the target of the Obama Justice Departmentand the Democrat Party, but he’s still standing and enforcing the law — including immigration law. When he’s not fighting the IRS on behalf of his clients as head of his firm, IRS Problem Solvers, congressional candidate Philip L. Liberatore likes to go a few rounds at his local boxing gym. And while he’s often said he wants to go to Congress to fight for his constituents, Liberatore has recently been endorsed in his race against incumbent Gary Miller by two like-minded Americans who are also always up for a good fight: Controversial Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known for handing down harsh sentences to prisoners in his charge and consumer advocate Mike “Bogey” Boguslawski.
“Our nation needs strong credible leadership, especially in today’s difficult economical time,” Arpaio said in endorsing Liberatore. “We need leaders that will defend the Constitution and will fight for hard working taxpayers and their families. Phil Liberatore will fight to enforce our current immigration laws and complete the border fence. I believe Phil Liberatore is the man for the job.”
Featured in Time Magazine as the “Toughest Sheriff in the U.S.,” Arpaio comes from Maricopa County, Arizona where his policies on immigration have given him national attention as a sheriff with tough tactics. His experience includes three years in the Army, five years as a police officer, and several years working for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Since his original election to sheriff in 1992, Arpaio has been reelected for five 4-year terms. “I’m honored to have the support of Sheriff Joe, someone who has so much experience and wisdom to share,” Liberatore said. “He is a valuable asset to my campaign.”
Arpaio joins Mike “Bogey” Boguslawski, who publicly endorsed Liberatore at the recent Liberty Celebration event, which drew over 500 supporters for a day of giveaways, concerts, and free food. Best known for the changes he brought to consumer reporting in California, Bogey was a key player in the recall of former California Governor Gray Davis.
“Phil brings honesty back to Washington,” Bogey said. “He’s a born leader with the skills and integrity so many in Washington tend to lack. I’ve never endorsed a candidate in California before, but I’m endorsing Phil Liberatore for Congress.”
A trusted businessman and resident of the 42nd District for the past 26 years, Liberatore believes he will address the many issues facing the 42nd District and the U.S. with character and integrity. He has his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Southern California.
The 42nd district, which stretches from Whittier in Los Angeles County to Mission Viejo in Orange County and includes parts of San Bernardino County, is one of the most conservative districts in California with a track record of electing conservative candidates.

Liberatore Praised by Calvary Chapel Founder Pastor Chuck Smith
Pastor Chuck Smith, founder of the Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, CA is publicly expressing his admiration for Congressional candidate Phil Liberatore in his race for the GOP nomination in the 42nd district.
‘Unless righteous men stand for public office our country will surely crumble,’ said Smith. ‘I have known Phil for a number of years and have great respect for him. He loves God, his family and his country and right now our nation needs men like Phil who will stand in the gap. I’m glad he’s answering the call to service’
Liberatore is locked in a fierce contest with incumbent congressmen Gary Miller to represent the 42nd district which stretches from Whittier to Mission Viejo and encompasses three counties, Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino. An ordained minister, trusted businessman, and longtime resident of the 42nd District, Liberatore has thirty-plus years of experience working as a certified public accountant. He has his own accounting firm, Philip L. Liberatore, CPA, and he founded IRS Problem Solvers, Inc., and will release his book, “An Inside Look at the IRS,” this fall. He has his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Southern California.
‘I’m honored to receive such kind words from a great man like Pastor Chuck Smith,’ noted Liberatore. ‘Calvary Chapel has blessed the nation and Southern California with the wonderful work they’ve done these last four decades. I’m honored but also humbled by his gracious words.’

Playing Politics With the IRS Problem Solver: California’s Democratic Secretary of State Deborah Bowen Rejects Congressional Candidate Phil Liberatore’s Ballot Identification
WHITTIER, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ — California’s top elected Democrat, Secretary of State Deborah Bowen, has rejected Republican Congressional candidate Phil Liberatore’s ballot designation, alleging that Liberatore’s description as “IRS Problem Solver,” is broad and associated with an entity or organization. But Liberatore, known across Southern California as the “IRS Problem Solver” from thousands of radio ads that have aired offering his tax resolution services, is fighting back:
“I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years advertising here and listeners know me as the IRS Problem Solver who solves problems with the Internal Revenue Service,” said Liberatore.
Liberatore is challenging GOP veteran Gary Miller in a district that stretches across three Southern California counties from Mission Viejo to Whittier, offering a tough challenge to the incumbent Miller in a campaign highlighting Miller’s support of President Obama’s agenda, voting in favor of the TARP bailout bills. Liberatore is also a published author whose book “An Inside Look At The IRS,” will hit bookstores this Spring.
“For the past 15 years on 99.5FM KKLA, Phil has been known as the ‘IRS Problem Solver,’” noted Frank Pastore, host of The Frank Pastore Show. “Ask any of our tens of thousands of listeners, many of whom live in his congressional district, who the IRS Problem Solver is and they’ll know that you’re referring to Phil– he simply is the IRS Problem Solver. To reject his well-deserved brand name, smacks of the type of petty electoral politics Californians have come to detest. I wonder who’s afraid of allowing Phil to use the name he is known by?”
Liberatore promises an appeal:
“This is plainly politics,” he responded. “Secretary Bowen knows how much Americans dislike the IRS and she doesn’t like the fact that it is part of who I am and is seeking to limit the information that voters can have. I trust voters to make an informed decision about who can best represent them and I am determined to go to Washington to alleviate the influence of the IRS over American lives. This is just the first of many speed bumps ahead placed by career politicians who are fighting change.”

CPA and IRS Foe Launches Congressional Campaign
Whittier, Calif. (March 11, 2010)
By WebCPA Staff
Phil Liberatore, a CPA and the founder of a business called IRS Problem Solvers, has launched a congressional campaign challenging a Republican incumbent from the right.
Liberatore is campaigning against Rep. Gary Miller, R-Calif., who has represented California’s 42nd District since 1999.
“Gary Miller went to Washington as a conservative, but has lost touch with the values of his constituents, voting with the Democrats over 400 times since he was elected to Congress,” said Liberatore in a statement. “As more of his constituents see his record, I believe they will vote in June to send me to Washington to restore fiscal sanity to our country.”
The district, which stretches from Whittier in Los Angeles County to Mission Viejo in Orange County and includes parts of San Bernardino County, is one of the most conservative districts in California with a track record of electing conservative candidates. Liberatore believes Miller will be vulnerable not only for his voting record, but also for an ongoing FBI investigation into various real estate transactions.
Liberatore, an ordained minister, also plans to capitalize on his work representing clients before the IRS. “On a daily basis I see people in my office who suffer from the effects of the burden Washington imposes on the lives of average Americans,” he said.

IRS Problem Solver to Take Campaign Against Taxes to Washington; CPA Phil Liberatore Challenging Incumbent Gary Miller in California’s 42nd DistrictÂ
WHITTIER, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire/ — As founder of IRS Problem Solvers, Inc., Phil Liberatore has helped thousands of Americans battle the most loathed — and feared — branch of government: The Internal Revenue Service. Now, Liberatore, a CPA and fervent critic of a fiscal policy that he believes is taking the United States down a road toward economic ruin, has decided to do something about it: he’s challenging veteran GOP congressman Gary Miller in California’s 42nd District in what is shaping up to be a lively primary battle.
“Gary Miller went to Washington as a Conservative, but has lost touch with the values of his constituents, voting with the Democrats over 400 times since he was elected to congress,” says Liberatore. “When he voted to waste billions of dollars on the misguided and outrageous TARP Bailout Bills, that was the last straw for me. That was when I decided to challenge him. I’m ashamed to live in a district represented by a Republican who votes far too often with Barney Frank. As more of his constituents see his record, I believe they will vote in June to send me to Washington to restore fiscal sanity to our country.”
The 42nd district, which stretches from Whittier in Los Angeles County to Mission Viejo in Orange County and includes parts of San Bernardino County, is one of the most conservative districts in California with a track record of electing conservative candidates. But Miller is widely believed to be vulnerable not only for his voting record, but also for an ongoing FBI investigation into various real estate transactions. Asked why he would challenge a fellow Republican, Liberatore responded:
“This is not about parties. I’m running for the Republican nomination, but I am first and foremost a patriot and a man who loves his country and I will speak out against corruption whether it comes from the Democratic Party or my own party. In November, dozens of members of congress who voted to increase the tax burden on the American people are going to be swept out of office. I plan to speed up that process by sending one of them home early on June 8th.”
A married father of two grown children and an ordained minister, Liberatore’s strong stand on taxes comes from a lifetime of work with those who are crushed by the heavy hand of Washington:
“On a daily basis I see people in my office who suffer from the effects of the burden Washington imposes on the lives of average Americans,” he says. “I’m going to Washington with two goals in mind: to lift the crushing burden of taxes on citizens of my district and to restore fiscal sanity to our nation. I believe America’s best days are ahead of us-but only if we meet the challenge we face from an out of control administration and its willing accomplices in my own party.”
The Liberatore campaign team plans to open local offices in the larger cities within the 42nd district and is seeking volunteers and supporters. The campaign can be reached online at http://liberatoreforcongress.com or by calling 714.310.3062.
